Real Happiness is a state of being that you can only achieve with God. It’s inner peace and joy that no amount of success or money can buy. Happiness is fleeting, but true Happiness lasts for all eternity. But how to reach real Happiness? In this blog post we explore Happiness with god and Happiness in everyday life. How to find it and how to keep it.
Bible verses about Happiness
What does the Bible say about happiness and contentment? Here are just a few passages that talk about Happiness:
"Rejoice in the Lord always! Once again I say: Rejoice! Let all people experience clemency. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything. In every prayer and supplication, bring your requests before God with thanksgiving. And the peace of God, that surpasses all comprehension, will keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:4)
“Be happy in your hope, stand your ground when you’re in trouble, and devote yourselves to prayer. Be happy with those who are happy, and cry with those who are crying.” (Romans 12:12-15)
The most important thing in life is to know God
"Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33). This means that real happiness is found only in God.
Further it is written: "So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today." (Matthew 6:34)
This means that Happiness can be found by living in today and focusing on what we have. Additionally, no one is really happy if God isn’t their main Happiness. Happiness with god is Happiness that lasts for eternity in heaven!
Happiness through Jesus Christ
When people are baptized, they receive forgiveness for their sins and newness of life. They’re given Joy through Jesus Christ which will never end. Happiness that starts now and lasts forevermore because Happiness only comes from Him - Jesus Christ!
Christ said , “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me." (John 14:6)
Salvation comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ - not just knowing about Him. True happiness is found in the Lord Jesus Christ alone.
It's not enough to just find happiness once you start pursuing it. There must be an ongoing commitment if you want Happiness to stick around, or at least last as long as possible before fading away again. Pursue Happiness daily by reading scripture passages about happiness like Philippians chapter four (see above).
How to find real happiness with God
God's love for us is unconditional and will never change. Happiness with God is a state of being that you can only achieve through God, and any other means are meaningless.
Trust in God
We need to trust in what God has for us. He alone knows our needs before we even ask Him. No matter where life may lead or how difficult it becomes, be trustful!
Deepen your faith through prayer, Bible study, and service
Atheists might argue that Joy cannot be achieved by faith alone. But biblical scholars point to the many stories and verses in which Happiness is only found when we are wholeheartedly committed to God. Reading scripture provides great insight into Happiness through parables. Reflecting on God's word on a regular basis is one way to deepen your faith.
Prayer can lead a person to Joy through introspection and meditation on god's love for us as his children. We need an authentic connection with Christ in order for him (or her) to have any lasting effect on our lives.
Happiness cannot exist without community - treat other people with kindness and respect. They may need your care or support tomorrow. Help others when possible and be kind to everyone you meet. Real Joy is not found in things, but rather in the relationships with others that we share Happiness too.
Reading the Bible regularly, praying daily, and offering your time to serve others is the best way to deepen your faith.
Frequently use the sacraments
The two most important sacraments of the catholic church are the Eucharist and Holy confession. The Eucharist is a holy meal that Christ left for us in his final words before he ascended into heaven. It commemorates his sacrifice of self on our behalf so we might be reconciled to God's love. This sacrament is most often celebrated during Holy Mass.
Confession is another very important sacrament. It is a time for penitents to confess their sin and then receive absolution from the priest who is an intermediary of God in pronouncing forgiveness on them. The confession usually takes place face-to-face with a priest. It helps us meet Christ's demand that we are perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect.
What does Happiness mean in everyday life?
The importance of being content in every situation
Be grateful - take a moment each day to think of something in your life that is making you happy right now and focus on those things instead of the negative ones. Happiness is a state of mind. Joy isn’t something you have, it's what you choose to be in every situation.
Be grateful for everything in your life, even if it seems small or insignificant. You should always be thankful for what you have, even if it seems like nothing at all.
The importance of not comparing yourself to others
Don't compare yourself to others. You are unique. Just like your life. God created you just the way you are. Happiness is found in following God's will for your life and not someone else's path or plan.
Stop obsessing over the lives of celebrities or people on social media that seem perfect and worry-free, because it's not reality! Happiness is a choice. You have to decide whether you want it in order to have it. Joy comes from the inside out, not the outside in.
Stop worrying so much about what other people think of you. Happiness is found when you can be yourself. It comes from being content with who you are and not what your life looks like to others. Don't compare yourself to others or let other people's opinions dictate your happiness!
Do what you can and trust God with the rest of your life!
The importance of living in the moment
Live in the moment, don't dwell on past mistakes or future worries. Joy is a state of mind and attitude. It can be found in many ways such as through healthy eating, exercise, work-life balance, or meditation/prayer. Live a conscious and righteous life according to God's order is an absolutely important basis for Joy and Happiness in everyday life!
The importance of following a Christian lifestyle
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior then there will be a day when you see Him face to face. Happiness is not found in the things of this world, Happiness is only obtained when you have Jesus Christ in your heart. The most important thing to do if you want Joy with God is to follow His commandments and laws as well as following a Christian lifestyle. Do what makes Him happy which includes being kind, giving back, worshiping him with purity, and more.
