  • The Joy of the Lord is my strength

Do you ever feel that your relationship with God is in need of some work? Do you sometimes struggle to find joy and strength, even when the Lord provides so many beautiful blessings each day? If this is where it feels like your relationship with Him stands today, then we invite you to grab hold of our blog post The Joy of the Lord Is My Strength. We encourage those looking for a spiritual resource for strengthening their connection with God.  To take time over these next few minutes and read deeply about how He works in us as His children.

I am a child of God

God has created us in his image and likeness. This means that he has given us the same attributes and abilities He possesses. Except for the divine one, of course. God creates, so do we within our capabilities. We are not only created by God but also for Him. There is a great joy that comes from making something new out of nothing. This creation doesn't just happen in one's career or home, it happens every time someone accepts Jesus Christ as their savior. The Bible says "we were made to be like him" and I know firsthand how true that statement is. The Joy of the Lord Is my strength.

God loves you

The Lord's steadfast love endures forever! When we are in trouble or when we have fallen down on our knees out of weakness before him, he helps us up again so quickly and restores our joy! Such wonderful promises from Psalm 23: "You prepare a table for me in front of them." How awesome it would be if you could sit at His table every day? Can you imagine what it will be like? "In your presence, there is fullness of joy. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your grace and mercy will guide me through all the days of life." I am blessed because I know that God loves me unconditionally, just as I love Him with all my heart.

The joy of the Lord is my strength

No matter what trials and hardships you face, know that the joy of the Lord is your strength. When we are happy and content with God's will, we can accomplish anything. Don't let difficult times discourage you from praising Him or stop you from living a life full of gratitude. Remember:

"God is my strength, my shield. " (Psalm Jeremiah 28:6 )

You know what I love about God? How He's always there for you! If you are struggling with anything in this life, whether it be school or family problems, just remember that Jesus will never leave. God's word is always true.

In Him, all things are possible

If you sometimes feel like you are in a spiritual rut, then this is the blog post for you.

It’s time to get your joy back! You feel like something has been missing from your life lately? It could be that The Joy of the Lord is my strength isn't being as present in all aspects of your life. Let's look at some ways to help keep The Joy of the Lord strong and growing stronger every day.

How to strengthening your relationship with God

Read the Bible

The first thing we need to do is to fill our minds with the Scriptures. Study the Bible and read the Scriptures. This means not only reading the Bible, but also keeping the verses in our hearts and absorbing them daily. If possible through prayer or simply pondering the words. Contemplating them until they become a permanent part of us.

Trust God

The Holy Spirit is my comforter and guide. He has given me a new song to sing, the one He wrote for me when I didn't know His name. I am finally free from all that held me back because of what Jesus did on Calvary's tree.

The Joy of the Lord is my strength as I lean in close to Him. Knowing full well just how much He loves me! When there seems to be no hope left, you can trust Him with your life! You don’t have to worry about anything else other than taking each day as it comes. Since He will never leave or forsake us - not now or ever again! It doesn’t matter what may come.

Let God control your life

Letting The Lord take control of your life brings happiness and joy. We can’t control the impact of words from our past, but we can overwrite them with the scripture. This is similar to the popular Serenity Prayer. This prayer is about finding peace in the present moment. Something we can't do if our past is controlling us. It’s time to let The Joy of the Lord overwhelm you and take control of your life!

His grace is sufficient. That's all we need.

Be strong in God's power, not your own

My strength ide is a powerful foe, and many of us have been wounded by it. The reason we are so prone to pride in our society is that this culture tells us we should be strong on our own, without God's power.

What does true strength look like? It looks like humility. Oftentimes when people recognize their sinfulness or admit they're not as capable as they want to believe themselves to be, the world sees them as weak. But really what has happened is that they have found truth and were humble enough to accept it!

As followers of Christ, we needn't fear being seen as too week nor feeling inadequate. Because Jesus will always be able to do more than we could ever imagine. He will give us all we need.

Praying

In difficult situations, a short push prayer can help and bring peace. Such as "My Jesus Mercy." Or a little longer, "Jesus, I ask for Your light in my heart and to be with me always." Likewise, praying the powerful rosary helps. That may be enough, but the prayer of a troubled soul can take more time. The best thing about praying is that it's never too late or too early to start. So if you are feeling down or know someone who needs help, pray!

Pray on behalf of others - even those who are not Christians.

Finally, spend some time praising God and thanking Him for all He has done in your life.

Conclusion

It is an important part of the Christian life to be joyful in all circumstances. When we are cheerful in all circumstances and praise Him for His goodness. Even when trials seem overwhelming or unending. Our strength grows instead of waning. What a joy to know that the Lord is my strength! The Holy Spirit lives inside of us. He is the Comforter, our Intercessor who strengthens us and gives us joy. I have peace with myself and others because my sins are forgiven through Christ's death on the cross for me. And if we rely on Him when times get tough, then He'll help us find a way to overcome any obstacle and keep moving forward. Don't ever forget that! No matter where you may go or who does what to hurt me - Jesus loves you all day long!
